New Hampshire Live Feeds

For anyone interested, both the Concord Monitor (http://concordmonitor.com/) and MSNBC (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3032553/) stated they will be posting up-to-the-minute results of the New Hampshire vote today . . . but not till the polls close. Most will close @ 7 PM ET, but a hand-ful (all of Nashua and a few other precincts) won't close till 8 PM ET.

What's the Difference?

I am a "late bloomer", not becoming active or staying informed about political issues until one event pushed me over the edge.  It's embarrassing to confess that I'm in my early 50's and chose to do nothing, to ignore what was going on in our nation's capital until . . . Bush signed the Military Commissions Act taking away the ancient writ of Habeas Corpus.  That was the straw.

I really don't care who you are and or what you may have done or have been accused of doing, we have a long history and custom of trial by jury, of the right to face our accuser.  NO ONE should be denied the right to know why their freedom has been taken from them.  If Adolf Hitler had survived WWII even he would have been afforded this right.

I've written more letters than I care to count since then and have donated funds to counter this threat to our nation and the world.  I'm doing my part, I feel, by staying informed, by speaking out, by passing along information to my family and friends, even though I'm late in getting started.  I'm not in a position to march on Washington, but I do what I can.

From that very day when Bush signed the MCA, I found the blogs and I love the "conversations".  I may not become involved in the dialog, but I faithfully follow them.

This is my first article, even though I have made comments here and there.  I have some questions I feel need to be asked.
